Oh No! Why Treat the Poor Monkey Badly When Its Mother Isn’t Around?

It’s heartbreaking to witness how vulnerable baby monkeys become when their mothers are not around. Just like human children, they rely on their moms for protection, comfort, and guidance. But when the mother steps away, even for a short moment, some people or older monkeys take advantage of the situation—picking on the baby, pushing them around, or stealing their food. It raises an emotional question: Why would anyone treat a helpless baby this way?

In one particularly sad moment, a tiny monkey was left alone while its mother went searching for food. Within minutes, the little one was surrounded by older juveniles who began teasing and pushing it. The poor baby looked confused and scared, glancing in every direction for its mother. Without her presence, the baby was left to suffer in silence, unable to defend itself or understand what was happening. Its eyes filled with tears, its tiny body trembling.

This situation reminds us that baby animals, just like human infants, deserve care and kindness—not bullying or harm. They are innocent beings trying to grow, learn, and survive in a harsh environment. Hurting them when they’re already feeling lost without their mom is both cruel and unnecessary.

We must speak out for those who can’t protect themselves. Whether in the wild or in sanctuaries, every young creature should be treated with compassion. Watching a baby monkey suffer just because its mother isn’t nearby should make us reflect on our actions and feelings. Kindness should never disappear when no one’s watching. These babies deserve love, not pain.

Let’s choose to care, even when no one is looking—and especially when a poor little monkey is left all alone.
