The transition from mother’s milk to solid food is never easy for a baby monkey, and in this case it became a dramatic scene filled with noise and frustration. Each attempt he made to latch on was met with rejection, and instead of quiet acceptance, the baby exploded in loud, desperate cries. The mother, however, remained firm in her discipline. She pushed him away whenever he tried to nurse, insisting he begin learning independence. But her approach appeared rough and impatient, making the little one’s distress grow even stronger. Instead of calm guidance, the baby faced sudden scolds and sharp nudges that left him confused and heartbroken. He couldn’t understand why the comfort he always relied upon was now denied so harshly.
Other monkeys nearby watched with curiosity as the baby yelled madly, his small arms reaching out for help. At times he even hugged his mother’s leg tightly, refusing to let go, as if begging for mercy. The scene showed how difficult and emotional the weaning process can be—not only for the baby, but also for the mother who must balance care with discipline.
Though the baby’s cries were heartbreaking, this stage is an important step in his growth. Learning to eat on his own, to find fruits, leaves, and other food, will eventually make him stronger. But in that moment, all he felt was rejection and sadness. His loud calls made it clear that weaning time was, for him, a battle filled with poor discipline and overwhelming emotion.
