It was a sunny, peaceful afternoon in the monkey family’s little corner of the sanctuary. Mommy Ally, always the responsible and loving mother, had a special errand to run. But before heading off, she turned to her sweet daughter Emily with an important request.
“Emily,” Ally seemed to say with her gentle glance, “please keep an eye on your little brother Albert. Make sure he behaves.”
Now, Albert was known for his endless curiosity, wiggly energy, and comical expressions. The moment Ally walked away, Albert’s face lit up with a mischievous grin, as if he had just been handed a golden ticket to fun. Emily, however, took her new babysitting role very seriously—well, at least for the first few minutes.
Albert tried everything to make his sister laugh: goofy somersaults, silly little dances, and exaggerated “oops” faces whenever he pretended to trip. Emily attempted to maintain her serious, “I’m-in-charge” look, but it didn’t take long before she burst into giggles.
The more Emily laughed, the more Albert turned up the comedy. He puffed out his cheeks, scratched his head like a confused little professor, and even pretended to give her a “serious” lecture—though it looked more like he was chewing on his own fingers.
By the time Mommy Ally returned, Emily was lying on the grass clutching her belly from laughing too much, and Albert was proudly sitting next to her as if he had just accomplished the greatest mission of the day.
Ally couldn’t help but chuckle. “I asked you to take care of him,” she teased, “but it looks like he ended up taking care of you… with laughter.”
That afternoon proved that with Albert around, “serious babysitting” was simply impossible.
